After my initial “I have to switch!” panic and a solid 8 hours of sleep, I can think straight again! I have decided I am going to switch to baby fx. I might eventually try liquitex soft touch, but first i am going to try baby fx. There are a lot of very helpful topics on here. I do wonder if I have to use the baby fx aplicator tools or if i can still use brushes and sponges of my choosing. Can I still apply a layer with a brush and pounce off or will that make the paint look streaky? I think I will purchase some test limbs and kits from bb before I move on to the kits I have in my stash.
You don’t need those applicators.
Thank you. I will add new brushes to my list. I found the three colors i use most now i only have a few new questions. Im sure more will come along though. For warming up my kits do i want burnt bronze or naturalize? Can i mix these colors the same way i mix my genesis? I have a favorite mottle color i use… I cant find anything like earth mint, is that a color i can mix on my own? Im assuming it is a mix of blue/yellow/white. Is there a place that i can get a nail tip color? If not im pretty sure i can mix my own. Should i get the subtle shine medium or am I good with my usual glaze? I like ar strawberry lips for my lip color and it calls for a flesh color in the recipe. Would i be able to make a similar color with the colors available through baby fx? Phew! I think thats all my questions for now…
I know someone has posted a color conversion chart on here…
