She's not nekkie anymore 😋

My daughter had the sewing machines downstairs yesterday because she’s making gifts for a new arrival… My first grandbaby will be born in a few weeks!:heart:

I never could find anything cute and vintage in my stash for one of my latest babies. So, I took a few minutes last night to draft a quick pattern for sweet Byron (I haven’t named her yet)
I used baby soft velour and knit. I made a squishy soft cross over shirt, hat and diaper. She’s such a chunky little thing. I just love her.
My son recently gave me the little vintage powder bottle. It’s so cute! The micro preemie honey bug paci’s fit perfectly! Here is my girl:

I’ve never found her to be particularly lifelike. Your painting style really adds realism to this sculpt. Nice job bringing this little one to life!

So freakin cute ! Ya knowwwwww there is a big market for tiny clothes. They sell for like 20 dollars an outfit, just sayin ! if I had mad sewing skills I’d be all over this

Thank you Marissa! She’s is very “dolly” looking. She’s cute though.
I bought her when the kit was 1/2 and couldn’t resist the challenge.

Thank you Angel. There is a big market for them. It’s really hard to find super cute tiny clothes! If only I had more hours in my day…

Most all the cute outfits I’ve found are in Europe, the shipping is as much as the out fit, and 2 inches of material for 40 dollars seems extreme :expressionless:

They are high… I think one of the reasons is because tiny clothes can be very tedious, and take a lot longer to make, than full size clothes. Most of the really tiny ones (under 8" or so) have to be hand stitched. There is a lady in eBay that makes a lot of really cute things. She’s uses Carters baby clothes to create them so they look like tiny replicas. I’ve seen her at doll shows and her work is superb! I think her name is woobiebabies.

And I thought Rosebud was tiny…LOL! I reborned Byron once as a prop dolly for Crystal; at the time, BB was selling dress sets to fit but not any more. Love the outfit on yours and also the vintage props.

Dolls So Real has really cute smocked, embroidered dresses for 10 inch babies for $15-18. Nothing for boys though.
