I love them, and him for doing something so wonderful for you! They each are so different and adorable. What a blessing to still have them❤️
This is such a distinctive and beautiful doll, I absolutely adore her cheeks❤️
I had her, too! Mine had a white dress with a pink satin ribbon trim.
We have 26 years together. I don’t know how he puts up with me I received this dolls from each grandmother on my 5th Christmas.
Kinda blurry due to bad lighting, but here’s one of my favorite childhood dolls. I had several, but she was the biggest one, so she must be the best, right?
Her clothes are original, she just seemed to have lost a sock. It’s probably still in a box in my parents’ attic.
Her name is “grote pop” which is Dutch for “big doll”. I have always had a knack for choosing amazing names, I guess.
I used to think she looked soooo real, too!
My childhood doll was named Big Baby too! No matter what I was playing, or if she was a boy or girl that day. She just went by “Big Baby”. I really had a knack for names apparently. I’ll have to find a picture of her.
She is a big girl, she would have been very fun to play with.
I adored playing with her. She’s the only one of my childhood dolls that fits real baby clothes, so she always wore some of my own baby dresses. I guess that made her extra special.
She’s beautiful!
OMG its been two years ago, lol. @Kyne so lucky you got them. Sorry about your home. @debbie1 are you going to get her? @EnchantedOrphanage lucky to still have her.
I have since taken my baby apart maybe 6 months ago, why I don’t know. Something about her was too off and her hair is falling out. Probably cause of the age and the materials. I will probably go back on a hunt for another or just let it go. Her fingers being chewed off did not bother me at first but as time went on it did. But glad I shared a part of my doll history, lol!
This was one of my favorite dolls I had. She had a belly built into her dress with a little pouch for her baby. So cool!
Here are my childhood dolls that I’m saving for whenever I have a daughter. The first one on the left I named makayla cause my 3 year old self was very creative. Next to her is drake Dillon who along with makayla I actually went to a nursery and adopted. Kipton is the last boy and the little Oshkosh baby was the first doll I ever had. Then I have my first ever Ashton drake doll lemon blossom who has seen better days for sure.
I have never heard of a doll like this, wow!
Neither had my kindergarten teacher when I brought her in for show and tell and provided a full labor and delivery demonstration
Giggling here picturing that Show-n-tell moment with the pregnant doll!
And chicken pox baby too!
I saw how old this post was, but I only used to lurk here and read and admire everyone’s beautiful art, before I got this new fancy phone and the WiFi works most days
I had a Mommy’s Having a Baby doll too, she was my favorite Christmas present as a child!
Oh, that’s neat!
The original outfit mine came with was a satin dress and matching coat, and white knit booties.
Oh that’s so cool! I’ve never heard of anyone else having one
