Selling shorter babies

Have any of you sold Blinkin and Nod? They are so pretty but I am wondering if they sell well.

When I was a new artist, about 7 years ago, I painted a Nod. He sold on eBay, on his first listing.

They sell well at a lower price point. They are dolly looking but still very cute!

Mine sold quickly for $250 five years ago.

I’m curious if they get an internal cloth body?

They do not. All vinyl.

The kits are made to assemble the head and limbs directly into the torso. I enjoyed making one. It’s easier to assemble if the vinyl is a bit warm.

No stuffing or weight then?

Yes, both. I weighted the head, torso and limbs…not a ton, but yes I did. They of course are not flexible. I think they make amazing first reborn dolls too.

I weighted mine, too, with enough stuffing to keep the weighting pouches from moving around.

I made mine years ago without the vinyl body. You have to get the neck piece that fits into the head. Not sure if BB still sells these.

You can also cut around the neck and shoulders and use that as a neck flange.

Their vinyl is hard but they make very cute dolls I hope this helps.

Ty! These pix help clear up the mystery on how they go together!

They go together very reluctantly. I put mine together this morning without heating them. I used my thumbs to force the flanges into a shape that would go into the holes. My thumbs were sore for at least and hour afterward. They sure are a cute pair though.

Girl you need to heat up the flanges a bit. It makes it so easy. I’m 61 and have lots of issues so I had to heat them. :hugs:

I saw the advice, but I was feeling too lazy to dig my hair dryer out. Although in hindsight that would have required MUCH less effort. With any luck, I burned some calories assembling them. :joy:
