Sealing limbs with caulk

I am showing some photos of how I seal my limbs.
Here the limbs are filled with fine glass and topped with polyfil.

Here they are topped with caulk.

Here is the caulk I use. It is water based, so clean up is easy. I buy it at Family Dollar for $1 a tube. I’ve done about 4 or 5 sets of limbs. I used it to seal hair for the first time, and I love it. It dries rather quickly, too.

This one looks like you can just squeeze it out of the tube. Good tip!

Yes, easy to squeeze right out.

What a great tip. Thanks for sharing.

that’s different…what a great idea

Clever you! Do you clean it off level before you let it dry? Or, does it sink in as it dries? Once dry, is it waterproof (guessing so if you used it to seal hair- but just checking.)

It does not sink in or shrink. It stays pliable enough that it does not crack. Yes, it’s waterproof.
