Scammers are so annoying!

I get messages from scammers all the time, but this last one just annoyed me so much. She was trying to sell me a Charles, but the picture she sent was actually a Kase. Even worse, it was a picture of a prototype for Bountiful Baby! She was asking $125 and I feel really bad for anyone who might not know any better and could get ripped off. Sorry just had to rant.

Wow, what an idiot! I wonder if they would even send anything.

The last two dolls I sold, each of those people had been scammed by one of those fake sites. One of them said to me ā€˜Please donā€™t be one of those scammers and take my money again and please let the baby I get be the one in the photosā€™. I assured her she had come to the right place. It was nice to hear how happy they were when they received their babies.

I have not done a custom in a long time, but decided to do one this time because I felt so bad for this lady who got scammed. She told me about just waiting for that baby so excited and how she and her daughter almost cried when she opened the box.

More frequently than ever Iā€™m getting messages from people who want to make sure Iā€™m not a scammer. Not only do I have to sit there and prove that Iā€™m a legit artist, I even got asked for a safety picture for ths first time recently. Although with a little research it is easy to see that I paint my own dolls and am selling exactly what I take pictures of, I donā€™t blame them for being cautious after losing a chunk of $$$. Sadly I donā€™t think the scammers will ever really be stopped. They will just open up a new site and carry on.

How awful! I hate that scammers are ruining this hobby for the rest of us. No one is safe anymore, and itā€™s heartbreaking. I wish we could go back to the days when we bought and sold dolls because we enjoyed it, not solely to make money and take advantage of people :frowning:

I was so fed up that I told her off and told her exactly what picture that she stole. Then I reported her to Facebook, to the reborn groups that sheā€™s in and contacted that artist.
Itā€™s so sad that people are trying to buy these beautiful pieces of art and scammers are stealing pictures from artist and just stealing money. Iā€™m lucky that I know better, but so many others do not.

If you havenā€™t already, Iā€™d also blast her in the scam groups

It turns out her name is already all over those scammers groups. She has stolen money from a lot of people. She also scams selling game consoles. She ships people boxes full of random flyers so there is a tracking number. She has been in prison for fraud and is on probation.

As soon as I can figure out how to upload my video to YouTube, I have done a ā€œscamā€ video. I was scammed, and I show the difference between the doll I received from the scam site and the one that is an actual reborn.
