Rooting tool substitute?

Is there any way I can make a rooting tool or purchase one in store in Canada? I placed my order and didn’t realize until after that I forgot to get one.

I just use the uncut needle.

I bought the pre-cut needles. Will that still work?

I don’t know, I’ve never tried.

Thank you🙂

Macphersons has this one that might work. I don’t know what kind of needles it uses though

I can’t use just the needle. They hurt my hands. You can make a tool with InstaMorph Moldable Plastic beads. You heat the beads in water and mold them around the needle to whatever size is comfortable for you. They can be reheated and re used if your needle breaks.

You could try a local craft store. Look in the felting section, they’re bound to have holders there.

I’ve done this several times.

A cork works great for the uncuts

Melissa George showed how she made them with polymer clay. She took a peice of the clay maybe 1"×2" and shaped it around the needle so it fit her hand comfortably, and baked it.
