Hello everyone! I’ve never rooted before but I thought a baby with eyelashes might sell better than a baby without, haha So along those lines I’d like to ask if y’all have any tips…? What sort of needle I need to buy, what sort of mohair (wavy, straight… do I take an eyelash curler to them when I’m done…?), do I need to heat the head while I do it and if so can I use a regular old hairdryer…?

I would heat the head, I use the same needle I use to root (single barb 42). I pray I don’t make holes or mess up the vinyl. Eyes and nails are the hardest for me.
Is this on an open eyed or closed eyed baby? On open eyed babies you wet the lashes after rooting but before cutting them and smooth them up the forehead and let them dry. This helps them to curl up after drying and when cut. I usually use a 2 barb needle and pluck out any excess hairs if they look too thick. Make sure to glue on the inside of the eye with a little glue on a toothpick
