Rooting eyelashes on open eyes -- please!

They do NOT go in the crease of the eye…OMG…I just saw a gorgeous baby on Ebay that was totally ruined by placing the lashes in the crease. Bummer. I can’t share the link because the last thing I’d want to do is hurt anyone’s feelings. Hope these pics help:

I saw one just recently on ebay that was gorgeous but had the eyelashes in the crease. Ruined it for me also.

You reach in the eye socket and glue. The rooting and gluing are done with the eye out.

There are an amazing number of artists that root too close to the crease instead of into the actual lid. Look in the mirror and see where your lashes are before you root them in the kit.

Here is an auction by a well known reborn artist with the lashes in the incorrect spot. The baby will sell for over $1000.00 anyway! Guess it isn’t a deal breaker if you are known. LOVE the hair and everything else about this gorgeous little fairy!
Oops - deleted that link and I will go get the other one: Look at this on eBay:

Beautiful baby although I do admit the lashes are in the wrong place- maybe it’s a fairy thing? I, too, was wondering about how to seal eyelashes since they’re in such a tricky spot. Glad to know now.

Great tip!!!

I root all my open-eye babies. Once you get the hang of it isn’t so bad. I think it looks much better than the ones you glue on.

I made it work with 43G single-barb but it was difficult. It’s been easier since I changed to a crown needle for the eyelashes. Some use a 6-barb needle to catch the hair easier.

I use a needle that has 6 barbs (2 on each edge), but since I only pull one hair at a time to root, the number of barbs doesn’t matter. I just want to catch a hair every time I make a go,e in the vinyl.

how do you root them so it won`t tear the lid? I would love to see how its done
