Hi. Does anyone know if and how liquitex matte gel can be removed to unseal hair? I want to switch hair out on a baby that I sealed with the Liquitex.

Its really hard messy work to remove matte gel from inside the head but it can be done. The only way I could seem to get it to budge was by filling the head with hot water and letting it sit for a bit to soften the glue. Then I scraped it out with a butter knife(I’m sure something else may work that’s just what I had on hand). Took several rounds of soaking and scraping but eventually got it all out. I stripped the head so wasn’t super careful about protecting the paint job but if I were to do that again I’d wrap the head to help make sure I keep glue off it as I work. Maybe someone else will come along that has an easier/better solution than me
