Yes, their position keeps changing. The one I have left is currently on the 4th page. Yesterday it was on the 2nd, but it comes around again. When they get to the bottom, they go back up to the 1st page and keep moving over/down. This is without repeatedly featuring them.
This was not my understanding at all. Now Iâm interested to double check with Dave. Iâll get back with what he says. It will be great if they really do rotate
You can just go look at one you have listed. If you have any that you featured, click on View All Featured and keep scrolling down until you find yours. Check again tomorrow and youâll see it has moved. I think they actually get more exposure this way because they stay, in different positions, in Featured, Just Listed and Showcased.
I do see now where you could click on it and see what position it is in. Looking at the history of mine, they have only been going farther and farther down the pages. I took screenshots so I can compare it tomorrow.
I promise you theyâre moving.
Thank you for this clarification because this is what I have been asking. We used to see how many hours until our baby would be on the front page. Is that gone because it will never rotate back to there unless you use a credit?
Do you still see something that estimates when they will be back to the front page?
Thatâs right. It doesnât rotate to the front page. Using credits are what get it back on the front page.
Hereâs Daveâs reply. Maybe you have yours set to auto showcase and thatâs why yours are moving and donât realize itâs automatically using your credits? I have my auto turned off because I donât want it randomly featuring for me and using credits without me choosing.
Okay, I see now where the location of the doll can be found. For example, mine was showcased a little over an hour ago was the 14th in line. I think I understand what heâs doing and why, but I guess it wonât be worth paying the monthly fee plus extra credits past the 10 you automatically get if dolls donât sell. Trying to showcase or feature multiple dolls on there at a time could really add up of they arenât selling quick enough.
Thank you for asking Dave. I have not listed anything, but reading what I could without a paid membership, I understood it to not rotate without using the credits. In fact my understanding was that to be seen anywhere except your own nursery you had to use the credits or have someone pull your item up in a search. Before you got some time in just listed and then rotated through to the front page every so often in the showcase or whatever it was called at the bottom of the page. You could pay for that scrolling feature thing at the top, but I never did that. Maybe I will understand better if I actually list something. I have been pretty focused on other things but I have two dolls to paint for clients. They are already sold so I really do not need to put them on there, but maybe I will try it then.
I guess that means the ones in the very bottom row stay there forever unless theyâre promoted with credits again? That doesnât seem quite fair. They should still rotate like they used to but then people wouldnât have to use as many credits.
Sounds like you have a good understanding to me.
Yes, they stay at the bottom unless you use credits to get them back up to the top. Right, if they still rotated, then people wouldnât need to be using their credits to have it back at the top so less credits bought.
Does me searching for somebodyâs listing bring it back to the top? That would be an amazing hack, if so.
No, it just shows in their search results. I wanted to add that unfortunately to be seen at all outside of someone looking at your nursery or searching for what you have listed you must use those credits. You will not only get no front page exposure without them, you will get no exposure at all.
Oh. Thanks for clarifying.
