Good brushes are important for good results. I buy mine at Michael’s and an art supply store. We don’t have JoAnn’s or Hobby Lobby…

Thanks everyone !! That gives me a lot of options because I have all those stores close to me thanks again

Awe you lucky duck  I would LOVE to browse in that store!!! I just received an order from them yesterday
Although, I would probably stay broke if we had a â– â– â– â–  Blick  I love buying new supplies just as much as getting a new kit :grinning:

How funny  just noticed BB edited my post

I ordered the 15pcs. + Painting pen and it arrived in 2 wks

I also love my flat brush!!! I bought it at Michael’s. I use it to drag paint in my creases and feather to a seamless finish

The very small round brush is great for getting paint into tiny creases!! Bought at Michael’s

Swissper’s q-tips are a must!! Not the q-tip brand bc they lose their shape as soon as a little water touches the tip

And you will need a few goat hair mop brushes. At least one small and one big

– red brush came from Michael’s
–Maxine’s mop from BB. I think they now carry Princeton brand; 1/2 mop is very popular. I just got the 3/8 inch bc it was on sale

You can do pretty much anything with these brushes. A wash brush is also helpful. For the most part it’s worth getting nice quality brushes. While all brushes shed a little. Some of the cheap brushes shed excessively. Good luck, Welcome, have a blast, and don’t be afraid to ask questions :grinning:

I’m seriously sitting here giggling about the censoring of the ■■■■ in dickblick. It obviously does not take much to amuse me.

I didn’t even know they had an actual retail store!! I thought it was just online. Oh I bet I could spend days in there if it’s like their website!!!

What’s the name of that movie where Natalie Portman is pregnant and sleeps in Wal-Mart? I could so do that at DickBlick :grin::grin:

It’s like the art section of Hobby Lobby but they have more of each item. Like the brushes…1 aisle full of brushes on both sides. Liquitex products…I think they carry the entire product selection instead of just a few things. And they have ALL the Prisma Premiere pencils!!! Ok, I’m drooling again.

Use your coupons! Michaels, JoAnn and AC Moore will accept each other’s coupons if they are different. So you have to love it when one has 50% off one item and the other has 25% off total purchase. Ends up being super cheap.

My favourite brush is a small fan brush. I use it for all my washes because it doesn’t soak up the paint like a mop so less gets in the creases.

Does hobby lobby partake in this amazing system? :grinning:

I was wondering if anyone used the fan brushes for anything.
