Started reborning in January. Could you look at some of my work and give suggestions
You did good. It might just be the pictures but I’d suggest doing slightly more visible eyebrows.
Her lashes are where I put fake lashes? I thought that is where everyone puts them… the lid crease is a no no.?
I think you are off to a great start. I would add some light purple to the eyelids, add some eyebrows. I think Everly could have used a burnt umber wash.
They are nice. If I were buying them I would need more paint around her eyes. That is the correct place to put applied lashes. Good job so early on in your reborning!
I would think that applied lashes would look weird in the spot that lashes REALLY grow from? How would you get the to stick? Wouldn’t it look funky? Do you have photos where you have put applied lashes on? Would love to see them.
I think you are doing very well for the beginner. I like your even rooting. I started in January also, so we have a few people here on the forum in our Team Newbie
If I would provide suggestions it would be to go a little bit easier on blushing (it might be just a picture or my screen - the first one) and veins looks too sharp (also the first picture).
I would maybe give a burnt umber wash to them.
They look really nice. You are doing a great job so far. Personally I like barely there eye brows on most babies but I know that’s just me. Keep up the good work.
I think you did an excellent job, and I’d be happy to receive a doll painted in the style you use. Oh, and I have to ask… Is that a Donna RuBert Punkin in the mix? One of your base sculpts looks exactly like a boo-boo baby I received a while back. Unfortunately, the painting and rooting on the doll I received was frightening to look at, so I’ve spent considerable time looking online to see how a skilled artist pulled it off. I have to say, after comparing several Punkin pics, the doll you have painted is the best one I’ve ever seen, presuming that’s a Punkin. The mottled, ruddy look breathes real life into the doll. I also love your treatment of the hair. The styling and color are perfect.
Thank everyone for replying,I need all the advice I can get. The first reborn baby is Punkin,by Donna Rubert, I love the expression on the face, will use less blushing next time. I am a retired NCN nurse work in nursery for years.
I’m new too, I think your experience as a nurse is serving you well😍
Eyes brows are still the. Hardest for me ,I have spend an hour doing brows.
Eyebrows are tough for a lot of people.
