Ugh. They’re the worst.
I did have to laugh at the doll picture with the phrase “doll reference not for sale” over it.
I know ridiculous isn’t it? I want to think most vintage/antique collectors know better, but sometimes the person is not really a collector. They are simply looking for a doll from childhood- they are usually the ones who have been taken by this it seems.
What is your channel name? I would like to follow u.
It’s Leabelle Reborns Nurserie . I try to do more videos in english
Oh great I will go follow you!
Well I was already following you lol. I will make sure to catch up! I love watching my artist friends on YouTube
great ! Thanks
Now they copy artist signature and certificates too. How are we ever going to keep the fakes out of the market now?
Only thing I can see is that there is no number written on the certificate, otherwise I’d be fooled too… I’ve pretty much told myself I’m going to only buy kits from reputable sellers themselves, with secondhand kits you can’t even tell anymore.
But it would be really easy for someone to write a number in.
Buying from only reputable sellers does help us. But it screws the secondary market. And it doesn’t help the customer at all. Unfortunately there are plenty of artists that will make the fakes, some on purpose, some not knowing.
We could tell customers to only by from trusted sellers but that screws newbies. And we also know from the tysbina Natalia mess that even people we think are trustworthy can be unethical. How would we know who is trustworthy?
And also, Dolls By Sandie was selling a knock off Saskia kit a while back. So even some of the dealers get duped.
Oh wow, that sounds like a nightmare!
Unbelievable
It reminds me of the Realborn COA
It’s not even a COA, it’s a birth certificate
Here is a new scammer site on FB. If anyone wants to report it, that would be great. I reported it earlier when they started commenting on my nursery page with links to their site. They were tagging followers of my page telling them to go and purchase from them. Looks like they have stolen photos as well.
Also look at the address they’re using beyond stupid, how could anyone on US fall for that? Also the zip code has only 4 numbers. The person with this scam must live on Mars. If she does live on mars, folks will still fall for this.
And the street address is the same as the zip code
The listings on eBay can be reported as counterfeit and fake kits. Go to the bottom of the listing and click on “report”. I have done it on multiple listings. Not sure it does any good though…
