Realborn Sculptors?!

I’m looking for a Realborn sculptor. I’ve got two beautiful children I would love to have kids done of. Any suggestions.

You mean a realborn as in, the 3d scans they make? They don’t do those for others, just children in their own families.

Oh, thanks. I didn’t know that I guess what I meant is a sculptor who can sculpt by a photo of a baby.

I tried to get Ping Lau to do one, but she is too busy. Probably all of the well known sculptors are… You may have to find someone with talent who is not widely known yet. Maybe I’d browse sculpting forums or something like that.

If you aren’t successful in finding one, you could find kits ther look like your kids and make/have made dolls that resemble them.

Realborns are produced by Bountiful Baby only. A realborn is a replica of a real baby and created from 3D scans.

I think you mean a portrait sculptor.

Are you specifically looking for a kit, though? Or just one single doll? Because there are companies as well as reborn artists that can make look-a-like dolls.

There is an artist. She use to be on this forum. It is expensive though. Was $600 just for the head. And it is not vinyl. But worth it.

I know there are some sculptors who will sculpt the baby into a clay doll. But I dont know of any that turn them into doll kits or vinyl dolls.

Some sculptors select real babies to sculpt a clay baby to use for a vinyl kit but they do that at their own pace and when they want to.
Like Cassie brace contacted Ethon’s mom and asked if she could use his pictures and sculpt a portrait baby. Priscilla Lopez used a real baby’s pictures to sculpt a portrait baby of Li and of Peanut. Bonnie Brown used a real baby to sculpt a portrait sculpt of Levi, Tink, Liam…etc.

But we cant just contact them and them do it. I know sometimes I see posts on facebook asking for inspiration pics for a sculpt…

Elsie Rodrigez does small custom sculpts. She is on Facebook.

I cannot see how could anybody produce for you just single vinyl kit. I am sure that if you pay well enough somebody could make the prototype in clay, or whatever they make them from. But to make the kit, the sculpt has to be made into mold, which I believe takes time and skill, and is a large part of the cost of kits. Once the mold is done you can make as many kits you wish, if you find a manufacturer. Making the kits is not something you can do in your back shed. It depends if you want kit just for yourself, or if you want to sell them to other artists.

Somebody is much more likely to make silicone baby for you, as that can be poured at home, but you would have to be prepared to pay thousands.

Surprisingly, I have got this request multiple times. I think it comes down to people not exactly knowing what realborns are & knowing little about reborns in general.

What I think (assuming) is that she wants a reborn that looks like children.

How old are they? Many sculptors would prefer that they are newborns, infants, or toddlers because then they can get more reference pictures.

She’s two months old.

I have thought it would be so nice to have replicas of my 3 children (now grown) when they were babies. But, I know it would be very costly if even possible, so I let the train leave the station long ago. I have seen some people on the forums that show they are taking a kit that resembles their baby/child and are making that kit to look like a baby. Also, some can even use clay of some sort I believe, to alter the kit.
