I don’t know why but this question popped into my head today and I’ve been wondering about it all day. I can’t really find anything about it. Does silicone stain from dark fabric and stuff like vinyl? If they do, do you use acne cream to remove it or something else?
I have not seen it happen but it is certainly possible. If it got stained, it would probably have to be sanded off in the same way paint is to remove it. If the stain goes very deep this could lead to damage trying to remove with sanding. There is a reaction that can occur when it touches painted wood that will lead to discoloration. So it is recommended to always put a blanket down before lying your baby on a shelf or anything wooden.
