Hi there everyone! One of the kits I am working on, I’ve decided will be an AA baby and since I don’t know how to root, I have been thinking about doing sponge painted hair. For those who have done sponge painted hair/curls, how did it turn out for you? Did it look good? What kind of sponge would I need to use?

If your AA baby is a newborn, then the actual NB black babies hair is not coiled for some weeks after the birth. Here is the reason why.

I like it. It gives customers more choices. I think of it the same as when people add freckles, etc.
I use a porous sponge (yellow car wash sponge cut into rectangles) then pull out parts (like a mottling one). I then use a thicker medium like thick medium or matte varnish.
Ironically I just did it on Ravy this evening. lol
