Hi there ladies! I have seen moses baskets on Amazon and I was wondering if they are just good for displaying reborns in or if they can also be carried with reborns in them? I’m looking for a new doll carrier bed for my reborns. I’m asking this because it says on some of the moses baskets they shouldn’t be used to transport/carry a real baby. Reborns are weighted. So that’s why I’m asking.
Thanks,
Julie
HI, I use a Moses basket to transport my reborns for sale to shows with no problems.
oh ok, that’s good to know! Do you have any brands that you like?
I don’t know the make but I bought it in UK.
i actually found a moses bed at the goodwill today! Also, I made a “Dolly contact” who invited me to check out her doll inventory. She said she used to have a store-I’m so excited. There’s some doll carrying beds on etsy. I was looking att them around the holidays… I also saw a knitting craft bag at hobby lobby, that would be perfect to put a small preemie or newborn size in, kinda looks like this. They are called project bags. It seems like shops on amazon and etsy that are located in the UK stock bags that could work for reborns like these.
I use a sewing machine craft tote similar to this while traveling. It has lots of pockets to hold other stuff and it rolls.
Thanks ladies! What I’m look for though is something I can carry them in. Like this:
So I can see my doll while I’m holding them in my lap and carrying them in and out of the car. Like but also a bassinet that they can sleep in. I believe they have sold out of these on ebay

I like to be able to keep my babies close to me. Does anyone know of someone who makes these or where I can get one similar?
Thanks,
Julie
So cute!
Thanks! I wish I knew of someone who makes them like that. That would be perfect!
I am about to make one of these. I bought the pattern and thought it was too die for!! Just got all of my materials in this week!
@avyona Now I want to make one, lol! That is nice, can’t wait to see one of your beautiful babies in there.
I cant wait to make one! Its kinda scarey though…very complicated pattern with terrible directions. Materials costs nearly 90 bucks! I hope I cant figure out how it goes. I would love to make these to give away with my babies when they get adopted
I like that! How much would you charge?
Well first I gotta figure out the pattern and instructions hehe. I’m hoping to start on it this weekend. Isnt it darling? I get to even make a little bumper pad!! BTW, its gotta be SUPER sturdy. You use plastic canvas, peltex (super strong thick interfacing) and foam core board!!!From what I reading in the instructions, its very rigid. Plus I will be making the mattress memory foam and I know that seems overkill, but I want to make a REAL baby item…not something just for dolls.
Sounds complicated. I don’t have that much patience. I would do something real simple like this, lol.
Cute and probably easy to crochet!
i love crocheted things
If I want to show off my babies while carrying them, I use a baby carrier, like, where the baby is strapped to your chest. They’re great for going out as it’s a lot easier to move around. Plus, your arms don’t get tired.
Do you have a link for that pattern? It is amazing!
