Ok, bb has great colored soft vinyl. However, I’m really irritated that the cookie i just purchased has a few embedded black dots, albeit small, but if you look at the pieces through the light they have A LOT of bubbles, one is riddled with them. Thankfully mine won’t turn into holes since i don’t heat set, but, it irritates me that i paid full price for her w/these issues. Had i been one of you heat set ladies with heat paints i’d be flat angry!
Have you notified BB? I think there’s a problem with the vinyl that’s being used.
I agree! Contact BB, they will fix the problem I am sure. Just send them an e-mail with pics of the problem.
Honestly the “issues” aren’t bad enough for me to make her a play doll for my daughter. I feel kind of picky. Its just i wish i hadnt paid full price for bubbles and little spots. I’m just wondering whats up with the vinyl now… There’s two close to surface bubbles i found that arent real noticeable, but, if i were still a “baker” theyd definitely turn into holes. Am i being picky? I dont want to be a pain.
You’re not picky. They know most of us bake. If this type of vinyl is the new “acceptable” we’ll all be in trouble. Babies don’t look as good or realistic with these blemishes. I have a lot of kits I only gave a quick look at when received and I’m getting nervous since a lot of people seem to be having problems. I’ve had a pinhole or two before but not major amounts like some had.
Mmmm I’ve received LE kits that look like this. Not impressed since I paid top $
Well, I’ve thought a lot about it. I think I’m going to just go forward with her. As i say, i know my daughter wont even notice. I realize I’m giving up my right to complain by not asking for a swap, but, i still intend to let the company know on behalf of the heat set ladies. Hugs guys.
If these flaws in the vinyls are the new ‘acceptable’, they’re definitely NOT!
Ok, just a quick update. I did email bb and sent some pics. I let them know as nicely as i could that i wont be returning her bc the post office is half hr away, but that we are concerned about the first quality vinyl and would really appreciate their looking into it. Sound ok?
Sounds good to me.
Just a quick update. Bb customer service emailed me back offering to make up the difference on a first and second quality kit and asked if there was anything else they could do. They also forwarded our concerns to their investigation dept. I think it was fair. Thought I’d pass it on thanks bb
BB are awesome at providing customer service.
