Pygora mohair

I am using @sugargliderus’ Pygora mohair to root my Chloe, and it is wonderful! I hope she makes more for sale, cause I am hooked.

Me too! I have some in every color and find that I use it instead of Angora.

Why is it better??? How is it different?? Is it a different variety of goat??

@Androna It is a mix of Angora and Pygora goat hair and it is finer than regular mohair but not as fine as alpaca which makes it easier to root, and it is softer.

I must try this!!!

It has the advantage of kid mohair without the hassle. It is easier to root and is soft shiny and does not matte up.

When you say mix, do you mean it is spun together or just 2 types of mohair sifted together?

I really need to get some more mohair!

Two different types of goats are bred together. The Angora and the Pygmy goat. It produces some awesome hair.
