Pre loved dolls on reborns.com is killing our market

Everyone got their stimulus money from their tax advance.

You kind of make me wonder if the site is running on the backs of the artists. A lot of people advertise their dolls, they sell, he gets pushed further up in the rankings as a result. I wonder how many unique visitors he gets from his own effort.

Right now there are 1105 dolls for adoption. 1071 are pre-loved. This seriously reduces the exposure of my listings.

I show the 1105 are new and there are 184 pre loved.

I have always felt like it was up to me to do my own advertising there and I agree that the sellers new dolls probably each bring in a good deal of foot traffic.

When I clicked on the pre-loved tab it said there were 1071. I didn’t see that it includes adopted ones. My mistake.

I know those filters are tricky. So good to know preloved aren’t filling up the site but I do think the filters maybe be hurting it a bit

May I ask what makes you think they are counterfeit? @PenelopesRebornDolls

I thing artists do all leg works here. My Owynn got sold on Reborns because I placed link to my hidden nursery on FB. No Dave’s traffic in my case.

It’s good to be on the lookout for people selling dolls made from fake kits. And there is something that could be done. Dave wouldn’t tolerate that kind of foolishness on his site. It would be bad for his business.

That said, I looked at the woman’s page I think you were talking about. Some of what she sold was cuddle babies, which are cheap. Every other listing I checked she had sculptor listed, BB for these kits. People’s skills are all over the map, so some of every kind of doll will be listed. Nothing that I can see there looks like a fake kit though… unless you are spotting something that I’m not.

Try not to feel too bad. These kinds of things are super hard to prove the majority of the time.

Not sure if you noticed but the $1,400 doll was a full body silicone.

He probably is always telling everyone when they put a doll on a payment plan to make sure they make one payment go through his site so it counts as a sale on there not necessarily for the buyer or the seller but to make the site look better in sales.
