I haven’t posted here in some time.
I’m posting asking for help for my kitty.
I’m disabled, and my kitty needs surgery that I can’t afford.
I’m working on making dolls that I can sell quickly to raise the money, but in the meantime I set up a GoFundMe, if you could please donate or share it. It would mean so much.

I would ask your vet to recommend a vet to do the surgery that is willing to take payments. I would probably look for another vet anyway if they are more concerned with getting a full balance rather than saving an animal. I could understand it if it was someone that they never had any business with but it sounds like you have already dropped a lot of money with them for your cat. Sorry about your cat, I know how hard that is.

I suppose that’s where some confusion comes in. When this started, I took him to a different vet, and every time after that, until this past friday, when that vet was closed and I took him to another vet who was open. This vet is the one who wants payment up front.
I’ve contacted my original vet and they don’t perform the surgery anyway so I’m kinda stuck.

Is this the same cat you posted on here in 2012, looking for help with vet bills. That is an awful long time for your cat to have to go through this.

There is a non interest account that the vets have for procedures. I can’t remember the name, but I was offered it when our kitty needed expensive treatment. It is like credit, without the interest. All the vets I know, have this same program offered. Also, they all accept credit cards for payment.

I’m unsure if I posted here in 2012. But before going off on me about it “being a long time for a cat to suffer.” That is so cruel. I would NEVER let my cat suffer like that. He went to the vet back in 2012, Obviously!

Yes, that is called Care Credit, i applied and was denied due to no credit history. (I’ve been disabled since birth)
I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty. I wish I could donate, but I’m tapped out from my elderly cats veterinary bills. Then, I came home to find that my dog has an infection in his eye. I hope you can raise the money.

May I ask what causes him to be obstructed and what does the vet do for him when he is?
He’s seen 3 different vets…the first said it was kidney stones and prescribed a food for him to prevent them, Which he’s still eating now. The second vet said it’s an extremely narrow urethra. And this most recent vet visit I was told that he needs surgery since nothing else is working.
Each time he goes to the vet, they sedate him and use a catheter to drain his bladder. This last time the vet tried to surgically widen his urethra, but that only kept him unblocked for 2 weeks. I ended up back at the vet on Friday when they recommended the more invasive surgery.
Poor kitty. I hope he feels better soon 
I lost my little guy due to a similar situation. But hopefully your kitty can have surgery and feel better soon

I didn’t say that to be cruel I just made the statement that it was a long time for a cat to go through that. I didn’t mean you did not take the cat to the vet just that it has been dealing with it for a long time. I have cats and also hate digging up money for care…So please don’t misunderstand me.

I hope that you can find the means to get your kitty help. We are still paying off our kittie’s treatments.
So sorry to hear this, have you asked the vet to make payment arrangements, this summer my granddaughters little dog jumped off the couch and broke her leg. I did take her to vet and she did need surgery they agreed to do it as long as I put a card on file so they could bill me monthly.
I tried to get them to allow me to make payments, but, they refused. I’m hoping if I can come up with at least half of it, they might let me make payments on the rest of it.
