Porcelain dolls?

I have a lady who’s trying to fix her porcelain dolls. It looks like the extremities are attached to their bodies by strings and are just dangling. She has no idea how to fix it. Anyone familiar with them?

Yes. The cord is elastic that has lost it’s stretch. You need new elastic cord. Run the cord from one leg to the head then back down to the other leg, now take the elastic over to the leg you started with and tie it off. Pull the elastic tight. Now start the cord on one arm, run the cord BEHIND the center cord, through the other arm and pass it in FRONT of the center cord and back to the beginning arm,. Tie off tightly. Done!! You may need someone to hold the body down while you are pulling the cord tight. Done, Easy!!

You will be able to buy strong round elastic of varying thicknesses at a boat or ships chandlery shop.

Stringing a doll is a little tricky but it is easier if you use bands. If the doll doesn’t have hooks for bands she can make them out of an old coat hanger. Lots of you tube videos on how to string a doll and she just needs to google for rubber bands to string a doll. She will be using the large ones.

Sounds like restringing a ball jointed doll. It can be a pain the first couple of times, but once you get the process down it’s a breeze. That’s a really cool doll, @Jessejuice do you know how old it is?
