I’m curious to know if everyone uses Angel Silk or the kind from Michael’s crafts? Does it matter? Why or why not?
I have a bag from Michael’s here but I still ordered Angel Silk.

I use whatever I have on hand. from walmart or Micheal’s or anywhere really. I haven’t tried and of the ones specifically branded for reborns but I’m sure they work just the same
I use “normal” in the limbs and head and cluster stuff in the body.
Be careful the angel silk explodes haha. It expands a lot when you open the bag and it’s messy
That’s what I do, too
Warning, do not wear black when you open the little disappointing sized bag of Angel Silk you will get from BB…you will thank me later! LOL
Lint roller or rolled tape for clean up. Lol
I use regular poly fil in the head and limbs and cluster stuff in the body.
I do like @jlesser and @Kate The only thing I do different is if it is a baby I want to sit up on her own, I will use regular polyfil in the body because it holds the glass beads that I put at the top (neck) better.
What helps with picking lint off my kits when painting? I have toothpicks and I pick things off but every piece gone is 2 more found. I’m not trying to hijack her post. Sorry!
Haha! Thanks for the laughs everyone! I just checked through my order log and I did not buy the Angel silk which seems to be smart lol!
Disappointing size bag! Lmao!
I heard a blown up balloon hanging by your work area will attract the fuzz to it instead of your kit… but haven’t tried it
Lol. It is a really neat product. Super silky soft just hard to put through the neck hole. You get more than what it looks like… kinda like a vacuum sealed comforter. Lol
Expands when open
I’ll try it next time. I’m fighting a war with fuzz and lint.
To be fair, it’s only disappointing before it explodes. Once air hits it, there’s a lot in that package. It’s incredibly soft and would make a great snuggle baby.
Talking about fill; some years ago I bought bamboo fiber and loved it. It is quite heavy with lot of body and made the baby weight feel really realistic. Unfortunately, it was not cheap and on top of that the postage from the USA was more than the product. But for people in America it could be worth looking into.
