Philips Avent pacifiers

I there a way to modify these pacifiers and add magnets? I love how newborn they look but how would you do it?

I think you can use it only as a prop or partially modified, but if someone uses them with magnets, I would like to know :wink:

I wonder if you could push the nipple in, put a magnet in the tip, and seal it with silicone glue? Making sure that the nipple gets glued so it stays tucked in, if that makes sense? I haven’t tried it, but I’ve often wondered if that would work.

I pushed the nipple in and had to cut the tip of it so that when I glued the magnet it would be flush to the face

I love gumdrops and they are the same as these but not round. I’m going to get some and see if I can make them work.

Thank you for finding that video, but honestly, it looks terrible :frowning:

I have seen some people cut the nipple off glue on a magnet and glue a plastic flower or a bow or something over the open hole. I don’t really care for the look. I only use such a pacifier on my Twin A, as she can take a full one.

Yep,I have done it.You cut the nipple off. Glue a button or colorful disk or something similar on the outside with aquarium safe silicone and embed the magent in the silicone so that it is on the side that attaches to the mouth.

BTW, the little plastic smiley I used I got in the scrapbook section at Walmart. I removed the foam sticker dot off the back of it.

Angie, I don’t think there is much you don’t know how to do when it comes to reborning. :slight_smile:

LOL I don’t know about that but I do read and try to learn as much as I can. There was a gal years ago who posted how to do this and I think she was on this forum but it could have been Doll-Fan. She used colorful round buttons on hers.

Maybe it was you who posted this years ago? I usually put moleskin over mine too but was out when I made this one so it has not got any yet.

@Keneen
Didn’t you modify some of these type of pacis for twins? I hope I’m remembering correctly.

No, not really modified. I just pushed a magnet into the nipple and pushed the nipple in. Let me see if I can find the example.

I made a magnet one for my vinyl out of a see through one like that but it wasn’t round, it was flattish. My dog promptly ate it. I put gel nail polish on the back side. I had made it pink with butterflies on it.

I’ve been meaning to make another one so I’ll whip that up and post a picture.
