I’m a heavy painter. I cannot achieve a soft look if my life depends on it. They don’t look done to me so I keep painting. Yet, when I see other reborns that have a soft complexion they look amazing. So what’s the secret? What colors do you use and don’t use if you’re a peaches and cream artist…thank you for any help
This is my first soft complexion and it is killing me daily to not touch her
Does she need anything? I am really trying to keep her pale and pretty since my other Hux was colorful boy.
LOL You are asking the wrong person. I hope the soft painters come on here and help us. She’s gorgeous! I can’t wait to get my Huxley!
I bought 4 total I have never done so many of one kit, but she is so versatile
I paint pretty light handed I think, im trying to achive darker complexions now I just use flesh 8 and a layer of burnt amber
I love you Hux, so pretty
Now see!!! That’s what I want some of mine to look like!! Beautiful! So literally Flesh 08 and one wash of burnt umber?
I might go back and get one more…can’t wait to get my first one.
I’m the same as you. I like other’s soft complexions when I see them, but I can’t stop putting on the layers and do it myself.
I’m finding that I’m the same way! I need the secret too. I’m going to attempt it on the kit I’m starting tonight…IF there are some good tips and IF I can just put the paint down!
To me the most soft complexion artist on this forum is Donna Rich and I love how her babies looks.
Yes!!! I love her style!
This baby is not quite finished but I used lots of colors in lavender, periwinkle, and pink/ purple tones.
Inspiring for sure. Maybe she will pop in and give us some tips!
Beautiful skin tones! Love your work
All she needs is finishing touches like nails, eyelashes, eyebrows and her actual hair and I’d say you nailed your first soft complexion baby. How did you do it? Did you get that Genie to grant you a self control wish? She’s gorgeous but I wouldn’t be able to stop because of that very fact. I’d think, oh look at this gorgeous baby I made, let me add a little bit here and a little bit there and then I would take it too far.
Thank you Karen
It helps that I have 4 Huxleys
That’s how I achieve my lighter skin tones too, flesh 08 then burnt umber wash
I was thinking the same thing
