Old Kit Paint Party!

I would not go below $275 plus shipping. If you calculate all your material costs, it should be between $90-100. Mutiplied by 3 and you get $270-300. That is just how I figure base pricing  If I love my work especially, I go up from there. How much depends on how long I want to keep the baby around

What’s your secret for nails? Those are fantastic!!

@Mommarobin Thank you, Carla! I keep nails off all paint till I ready to do them at the end. For nail tips I mix Baby Skin + Nail Tips + Thinning medium and do them very narrow. Then I use Black Cherry Prisma pencil moistened with Gamsol and do nails smoothing the color with paint brush, but leave half moons uncolored. Then I do a thing Black Cherry line around half moons and under nail tips fading toward the middle of the nail, if nail size allow to that. Glossed with Aleene’s Paper Glaze.

My Morgan (I am not done with her painting yet) suppose to be a mermaid, but I didn’t like some new for me technique, so I discarded her arms. Now she will be a Unicorn Baby with cuddle ‘Unicorn and Rainbows’ body from Roseanne. This magically colored hair is a gift from @Katinafleming :kissing_heart:
Thus she will be my first cuddle and first full rooted head baby. Never mind her eyes tho.
I have no idea how to weight a cuddle baby, but will search here when time will come.

I order another Morgan, so another one will be a Mermaid.

Thank you! I hope to make some little girl happy
Didn’t actually plan her to be like that, but when I saw that cuddle body I knew what I would do with it!

@PutABonnetOnIt WOW!! No kidding, your Easton is the best I have ever seen!! You have shown me if painted a certain way, one can fall in love with a kit that she disliked. (Everything I type is going to sound corny and mushy but I am truly amazed!!) Thank you

Libby is getting closer! I have to say this big baby is a lot of work! I prefer the newborns.

And her limbs over here because I am baking them on a rotation with the head. It’s too big to all go in together!

I started this doll a while ago (an embarrassingly long while ago) and this thread is giving me motivation to finish! Working on the hairline tonight.

And a painting in the background I need to finish for a show on Saturday. I tend to take on…much too much…haha :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Edit: it’s BB’s Kameko

I’m not going to be able to work on her for a few weeks so I thought I would do a work in progress picture. Under her hat needs hair and a hair cut.
