Hi everyone. I used an oven thermometer in my nuwave oven and baked at 265 for 9 minutes and my paint rubbed off so I tried 270 for 9 minutes and it still rubbed off, any suggestions would be appreciated.

There was some genesis paint circulating for a while that was not able to cure. Hopefully you didn’t get ahold of a bad batch. I had trouble with red and blue at one point and realized it was faulty paint!

Im not sure because my paint is older. I got it in 2012 I think. Way back when i started.

I would temp it with an oven thermometer then and see if it’s reaching 265. The paint should be ok from that long ago!

And for how many minutes?
I do 275° for 8 mins but I have an oven thermometer in with the kit every time

Ill probably try that.
You may need to prime your kit first. Sometimes a particular bare vinyl won’t take paint. IRHSP has a nice heat set primer.
