I used to spend a lot of time at the nursing home visiting. I took my grand daughter who was a baby then, and up until she was like 3 1/2. We had one special friend that was just awesome. But, there were others, too, that I checked on. I would love to be able to still go and do that. Unless they are ill somehow and can’t enjoy company, they love the visits. More people should go, and take the kids. Some kids are afraid to go – I guess they were just never exposed to it and they just didn’t understand. At any rate, if I were able I would still go. But, my health prevents me from doing much of anything anymore. That is why the reborns are a good new hobby for me. I can work on them when I have good days and then when I am not so chipper I can put it off.
Thanks y’all - y’all are all to sweet for the kind words ! i wanted to post about it to draw attention to the potential need and the potential blessing you ll get from it too ! @PutABonnetOnIt it’s sad to have to think about such things as someone stealing from the elderly-especially the mentally challenged 
but I did tell them I would bring more -(and the nurse actually ordered a baby from me for a Christmas gift lol ) @Vanniek awesome of you -and cuddle babies are a neat idea -the one sweet patient I didn’t know thought the baby was real and the nurse didn’t tell her any different -not sure if a cuddle body would upset some or not 
- but the would be great for other patients
@ZeldaDawn I lov it lol -cause "bless ure heart " ( in my best southern drawl ) is one of my favorite sayings lol @Hippurated never thought of the trauma unit or other such places -will check that out

Yes -we all get so busy in everyday life that so many times the elderly and needy are forgotten. ️ I know they all enjoyed your visits
