Nursery certificates

I was thinking I might start sending a card from my nursery along with baby’s COA. Does this look ok? Would it be alright to just get it printed off at Walgreen’s? Do you guys send a certificate with your babies?

That is super cute! I don’t send certificates but I’ve thought about it also. I send a business thank you card and attach a little charm to it.

I’d love to have a space for the new name. I’ll have to keep tinkering around and see.

I usually make mine and put a transparent version of one of the photos of the baby on it, behind the text.

If you have a Sam’s Club, you can get one birth announcement printed. Less than one dollar. Most places make you print 25 or more. They have lots of templates and are easy to use.

I was so tempted to keep the picture card you sent with the Ever I bought from you for my Mom! I liked the idea of putting it on the fridge. But I forced myself to pack all the paperwork in a folder (including that) and send it all off together with the dolls to my parents.
I really like the way it looks like a custom birth announcement!

Very cute idea, but I think the text is a bit too hard to read. Maybe put it in a separate area with a plain colored background?

I send certificates with my babies. Mines is “generic” is the sense I can use it for multiple babies. I created mines on Vistaprint. It is fairly inexpensive. I think 50 at a time for $20. They are 5 x 7 notecards

I’m going to play around some more and see if I can figure that out. Me and computers don’t always get along. I did good to get that far! :joy:

I design and order a birth announcement 5x7 and an instruction card 4x6 which I purchase from Vista print. It is one I can fill in name, weight, length and the instruction sheet I love it is a shortened version of a larger sheet I used, it says thank you also. I used someones on here for my instruction wording so thank you to them. Have fun :footprints: :baby:Instructions of care

All of my babies are sent home with birth certificates that I made using PowerPoint. I have them printed at Walgreens as a 4x6 print.

What does “this is to certify that” mean? It seems unfinished. What is it certifying?

Maybe after the name line you should add “was reborn”

It reads this is to certify that “Devin” weighing 4lbs 10oz was born on the 22nd day of September to H. Harper.

It’s actually not missing anything. I found a certificate of adoption an adapted it to fit my needs.

Oh I see it now, sorry.

I like the ones with a photo of the specific reborn best, because it gives the customers another opportunity to show/talk about their dolls to other people. They might display the photo card in their home or even keep it in their purse. That ends up being good advertising, but is much less likely to happen without that pic of their specific reborn!
The “birth certificates” are just a novelty, but isn’t likely to actually be framed or carried around, because it doesn’t show the baby.

A separate care instruction sheet is always useful.
