Guess I am the lucky one I have never had anything wrong with any BB kit that I have bought been pretty well spoiled from the looks of this post.

Is this sale over?
Yes. It was all day 4th of July. But they always have random sales. Some last several days, some lady an hour.
My seconds 3 month Joseph came in today. He has one tiny dot on his leg, not noticeable at all. Other than that, he’s perfect. Still waiting for my Jade and Landon seconds to get here.

I just wanted to say that I got my seconds kits today (Landon Awake, Jade, and June) and all are fine. In fact I do not see the black dots on my seconds Jade that are on my first quality kit. I am thrilled with my kits!

My seconds giant Joseph looks good too. There was only a brown patch near his ear, but I can easily camouflage that. Whew. What a relief!
As an aside, this kit had a very strong chemical smell and was oily. I washed, washed, washed in dawn. Had to soak in soapy water twice. Finally the vinyl felt okay. I hung the parts to dry on my rack and when I went back in 30 minutes later, the whole room reeked of chemicals. This has never happened before… Maybe they needed extra mold release to get him out of the mold or something.

Mine was very oily too now that you mention it. I scrubbed him with alcohol swabs. He’s taking paint great, so I guess it worked.

Yes, mine smells SO strong of vinyl! ewwwww!! Mine also had several Black dots and pitting.
My Joseph wasn’t seconds, but he REEKS as well. Super weird.

All the kits I got smelled of chemicals too. I thought it was normal? Gives me headaches.
Did you order different kits?
The chemical thing was weird because BB kits never smell. I also got a headache and felt a bit nauseous when I was in my dolly room with giant Joseph. I probably should have opened a window or something. 
No they all were from bountiful. They were all 1st quality and really oily. I had to have my boyfriend soak them for me in dawn dish liquid. I let them soak over night.

Oh great, so not just 3 month Joseph smells and is oily. It’s all of them, even firsts. 
Well, in that case, I’m glad I didn’t order any of them.
I just picked up my Jade and Landon seconds. They are slightly waxy. Jade had a few black spots and smudges that all wiped away easily with my finger. Only mark on her now is a faint line on her temple. I haven’t washed her yet. But if it doesn’t come off, it can become a vein. You can barely see it anyway.
Landon had random black spots everywhere, especially his face. His head flange is really dirty. I’m sure that’s how he got so dirty. But he easily wiped clean except 1 black dot on the top of his foot. I haven’t tried to remove it, but it’s not bothersome.
Overall, both kits are typical of the seconds I usually get. Other than the last order with Spencer and Eliza, I’ve never been able to tell any difference between their firsts and seconds. I’m glad I took advantage of this sale. These kits are worth far more than the $21 each I spent on them.

Hopefully they will do something as the molds and or vinyl is contaminated. I keep getting a lot of black spots on faces legs ect. Yes spots on firsts small of the face. Seconds Joseph had a huge black spot I couldn’t conceal and had to make it a birth mark. Also another birth mark on his leg

Just got my June 2nds and she has 2 tiny dots that might not wash off but small as a needle tip, a light brown spot about the size of a dime on her upper arm… might wash off (if not it can be easily covered), and 1 leg flange with a little chunk missing in the inside… but I do not think it will effect anything.
Well I got super excited as i went over June 2nds because she was perfect… except i found a dot behind her ear and a rip in the neck flanage
