New vinyl flange issues

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed yet or had the same issues but I’m having major major issues with the flanges on the new vinyl kits. They are so small, (almost not even a flange at all) that they pop right off the body, no matter how tight I pull my zip ties. I can tighten them where you can’t turn them even a little, but they still fall out if moved at any angle slightly (like opening legs a tiny bit to put a diaper on).

I thought using rings would solve this issue but alas, the ring stays inside the body and the limbs still fall right out, I’ve tried using the smallest possible rings that I can get onto the limbs (with a lot of squeezing, forcing and effort!)

Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Can you glue the rings on to the limbs?

Are you using plugs?

Yes I do use plugs, I tried without them also but it didn’t make a difference. It’s basically like the flanges are only a few cm wider than the limbs width

I was actually wondering about that. But I was worried the glue wouldn’t hold permanently with movement and such and I’d get customer complaints down the road. I was curious if anyone else had tried that and if there’s a glue I can use that will permanently hold them

Which kits are they? I havent had this problem yet, but havent bought many of the new realborns

The ones In having the problems with are Sage, Alma Asleep and Ruby Awake

Have you tried crazy glue on vinyl? I’ve only used it a few times for magnets and they all ended up falling out of place. But that was several years ago.

This is a special glue for the vinyl, recommended by a forum member and works great for me

You are welcome! :hugs:

I noticed my ruby was like that as well but it was only one arm and one leg. The rest of the flanges are normal.
