Another member here and I traded kits last week. She put the correct label on the package being sent to me. But the USPS has royally messed up the transit of my package in a way I don’t understand HOW they could have.
It is now EIGHT days since this Priority package was mailed to me. The USPS took TWO days to get it out of her state. Then it dropped off tracking for a bit, and then showed up in a city in my state. Then this past Saturday I got an ALERT from the USPS on the tracking page, saying it went to the wrong zip code, to another town near mine. I figured, OK, they’ll see my address and correct town name on the label and get it to me. WRONG. Today, it is in yet another town (not my town) and marked “out of delivery.” So, I called the 800-ASK-USPS number and got tired of automated thing and the COVID excuses on there. Somehow finally got through to a customer rep number and opted to have them call me back when the next rep was available. When someone called me back, it was a nice lady with a very thick accent out of India. I could barely understand her. I gave her all the info she asked for and was told someone would call me about my package within three business days. I won’t hold my breath. What good is scanning a Priority package if you they still can’t get it to the address on the label?? How hard can that be? Priority Mail has become rip-off.
So, I’m sitting here hoping that they don’t deliver my package to someone else in this other town where it’s “out for delivery.” They should be paying their customers for their increased screw-ups that make no sense and for causing people’s blood pressure to rise.
Anyone else having increased issues like this with Priority Mail? My zip and address are clearly on the label.
You could try to call and have them hold it at the next hub for pick up? If it doesn’t get delivered to the wrong place today?
USPS has been a nightmare lately
I’ve tried calling all three post offices in the zip where tracking shows it and no one will answer the phone. I let it ring so long that my cell phone finally disconnected the call. Besides, it is marked as out of delivery, so not much I can do at this point. There is no road with my name in the city in which they are saying it is out for deliver in.
My latest order from bountiful baby tracked really weirdly too. While it was still at the in transit stage, it showed the out for delivery destination as being west valley city Utah. I live in California, so this was very concerning for me. The next day tracking showed that it was in California, and it did show up to my house within a couple of days. Granted my neighbor from across the street had to drop it off with me (again), but that was an issue with my particular carrier. I hope your package shows up soon.
It actually has arrived. Never had a tracked package marked in the next town over arrive. They always go through my post office. Maybe my post office is not able to handle the mail volume right now or something. So glad it’s here.
In my opinion since before the election, postal equipment was removed from many post offices and this equipment wasn’t returned or replaced. I agree it is very disturbing that we are paying for a service we wete used to receiving, but no longer receive. The whole postal system needs a revamping ( more money) it seems sometime s like we are living in a third rate country. Qua!ity control has vanished in the postal office!
It’s exactly the same issues bhere with Canada Post, and we had no elections…
It’s concerning that other companies like Fedex can do it right but our national service can’t. They are lazy and badly organized. They always have excuses.
Something is wrong and need to change. I bet if they privatized Canada Post it will suddenly being very efficient !
Today I got mail delivered to me from 5 different addresses in the city… some not even in this neighborhood. Also my Etsy orders have taken twice the usual time for delivery with no accurate tracking. USPS is having serious problems!
Looks like one of their new tactics is to spread mail around the area to different post offices for delivery. That’s what they did with my package. Not sure it’s helping their issues.
