Hello Everyone My name is Bree and Im new to the reborning world and I am so glad to be apart of such a supportive group.Im in the process of purchasing my kit and supplies but Im having a little trouble trying to figure out exactly every thing that I will need to get started. I feel both nervous and excited. Can you all drop some things that I will DEFINITELY need to start working on my first kit. I think I want my first kit to be a biracial little girl but Im not so sure what color paints to use or supplies. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I’d suggest looking up tutorials first. Youtube has several video tutorials available.

Welcome! Click on the spyglass at the top and type is some key words like supply list or new artist supply list, or anything else you want to know about. There is a ton of Info on here!

Hello, and welcome! im fairly new myslef. Almost finished my first baby. You will find the list of things never ending! My best advice is take your time, get all the info you need before you buy anything. You need to figure out if you want to use air dry paints, or genesis heat set. If you use the heat set you will need a halogen oven of some kind. I’m in the uk, i think they are called nuwave or something?? In other parts of the world.
Look on youtube! There are thousands of videos on every subject you can think of for reborning

Welcome, this is definitely a wonderful community to be part of!! Everyone here is very helpful, makes you feel like your talented! It’s exciting for sure, also addictive!! I’m a closet shopper. I buy more than I paint!! And I’m praying covid ends so BB can replenish and get my shopping back to normal!!

I also recommend searching online for some good tutorials. Lara of the REAL Forum has quite a few that are reasonably priced.

This is something I wrote to copy and paste to anyone thinking of starting reborning. I prefer air dry paints myself but if you decide on GHSP then this won’t be for you. Do some research and look up the pros and cons of each type of paint. I wish you luck on your reborning journey. I believe that SCN (Special Care Nursery) deliver to the US. Also I would suggest a closed eyed baby for your first because I believe they are easier
