Need advice on toddler assembly please

I finally finished putting my Tibby kit together last night.
I used doll armature and I had a really hard time getting the poly fill in the limbs .
I did not have a dowel rod or anything like that so i used a spatula handle , what are the easiest ways and tools you used to do this.
Also her head is a bit floppy so i think i may need to to take it off and do something , I bought a pool noodle but could not figure out how to get in on there with the plastic armature being right there.
She is the standing version.
This is my first toddler size baby.

I have some other toddler kits so I want to try and find the best ways to do it.

Thanks
Crystal

For the head, I used a pool noodle as well. BUT, I put 3 dowels inside of it to stabilize it. Maybe try that? I’ve not used armature yet. If you’re just stuffing limbs with poly fil, they sell longer dowels at hobby lobby and places like that. Maybe fill just hands with glass so there’s something in them?

Have you put any weight in the head? For toddlers you should only put polyfill in it.

Following for my future Emmy

no jut poly fill in her head.

I had seen on here where people use the pool noodle but the armature i have does not leave enough room to add a pool noodle.

. This is what the armature i used looks like. A dowel rod might work since they are small.
Thank you for the advice

You also can slit the pool noodle part way on the sides, leaving it uncut above the shoulders so it fits over the armature.

Thank you! That is a good idea!

Pipe insulation may work also. Smaller diameter and slit

Check if it fits inside her neck opening before you slit it. I usually use pipe insulation because it’s smaller and comes in a kind of tan color.

Maybe attaché the dowels to the spine facing vertically to go halfway-ish into her head?
