My version of Chase and a pricing question

So after, like, a month Chase is finally almost done. Just curing now. He is gonna be Bald and I made the decision to not give him brows as a lot of babies who are born Bald do not have any. I just wanted to show him off and get everyone’s opinion on if my price is too high. I was thinking $250 plus shipping and that includes a small box opening. Is that too high?

He also has a small freckle on his arm as shown in the last photo…

I personally think $250 is much too low, regardless of your skill level, selling him for that amount would basically be the kit, supplies and box opening items with no profit at all or pay for your painting time. I personally sell my bald babies for around $500, I wouldn’t think you should list him for under $350 - $400

Does he has eyebrows and eyelashes?
I think he is not very detailed and $250 is a good price for him.

I was not planning eyebrows or lashes because he is a baldy. I might do some blonde lashes though.

I’m seeing what looks like eyebrows. Are they just shadows?

I think barely there brows and some lashes would really help add realism. Love those skin tones! He’s BEAUTIFUL.

Barely there eyebrows and rooted lashes would help. I think at least $350 is doable with those changes. He’s very cute.

Does anyone have any tips on doing barely there eyebrows with prisma pencils? Mine always turn out like these ones…
Very far from barely there…

I think $250 is perfect for him. He’s got beautiful soft tones, but without hair, eyelashes and eyebrows, $250 seems very fair.

I am no expert by any means, but I gave Tessa barely there brows by drawing them on very lightly with a dark umber pencil, then using a liner brush, I went over them with thinning medium.

Hopefully someone else will come along who’s way better at this than I am

And yes, I added lashes  This was just a WIP pic.

Practice on a piece of paper. Fewer hairs and a length of brows a bit shorter will look more realistic.

Isn’t is umber that turns orange when you bake it?

No that’s chocolate maybe. Umber is fine

Looks better with lashes.

Love it! I never thought of thinning brows like that. Thank you for sharing. My brows end up too dark.

Thank you ~ not my best work, but what I had on my phone.

The lashes made a huge difference. Did you do brows at all? I really can’t tell, it looks like there are brows, although slightly off the brow bone. I can’t tell if it’s shadows combined with a well defined brow bone or not. If you want to do barely there brows and aren’t able to paint them, even mottling some light brow color on the brow line will give the illusion of having super light newborn brows. I used to do this before I learned how to paint brows.

I decided to keep him like this. He’s all together now. I have job interviews today but I will do his photoshoot tomorrow!
