My first silicone painting experience

I signed up to take Susan Gibbs silicone class in early November, but didn’t get time to actually take the class until a few weeks ago. For anyone interested in painting silicone for the first time, I highly recommend her class! She is a wonderful teacher, and answers all of your questions. I painted BB Callie, and I felt for my first, she turned out ok.

Trust me, I am not the person who expresses the love without feeling it
I love her so much that if I would have extra money I would buy her just to get a feel of her, and look at her, and learn from it.
She is your 1st and she is already very impressive!

I agree with @YelenaRey- she’s stunning and I would love to snuggle her, too. You’re a natural for sure. Can’t wait to see your future silicone babies!

She looks amazing! Was it very hard? I would love to paint one for myself but don’t know if I would ever have the nerve for such a expensive kit.

Every person I’ve seen take Susan’s class has been extremely successful. It seemed pricey to me, but she must be an excellent teacher. I’ll definitely save for it if I start painting silicone

Honestly, it wasn’t that difficult, but painting in silicone is different in that layering your colors doesn’t net you the same overall effect. You paint with way fewer layers! I was like you and was nervous to wreck a kit that I could not easily strip and start over, which is one of my reasons in taking the class. I felt it was cheaper to take the class, and learn the proper application, then to destroy a kit trying to figure it out for myself. I definitely encourage anyone that is interested in making the leap to take her class!
