My Crystal- Looks like the cat is out of the bag!

Welcome to the family! She is so pretty. You did a wonderful job on the paint and she is a really cute baldy. I look forward to seeing more of your little ones.

Welcome, Marissa! Your Crystal looks great! You can practice rooting on a practice head (or leg  ). Search YouTube for rooting videos and youā€™ll get the hang of it soon.

I tried sculpting over a vinyl head for an alternative I was trying to do. You can get the Pro Sculpt to stick well enough, but the vinyl is flexible and the polyclay is not once itā€™s baked. It will crack if the vinyl flexes. I also needed to root places that had clay and couldnā€™t figure that one out. If I baked it I couldnā€™t root. If I rooted first it distorted the clay. I finally abandoned the project and decided if I ever do it, I will just sculpt from scratch. In order to do it the way I see it, it would have to be poured in vinyl and I donā€™t see that happening! I guess Iā€™ll draw a picture of it, LOL>

Aww, thank you everyone! I love how welcoming this community is! While I do appreciate praise, I hope I can come her for constructive criticism as well. The art school nerd in me loves to hear the good and the bad (even though thatā€™s difficult sometimes), but without it, I donā€™t feel that I can fully grow. Thank you all again! Canā€™t wait to talk with you more.
