Marketplace cradle and doll

Loving this thread. Berenguer’s are my new obsession. I loved them years ago and now once again.

I’ve never stopped loving them. They make such cute reborns and they sell well.

And I like them slightly enhanced. Lip color change, new acrylic eyes, nail gloss and added weight.

Because my reborns can’t be heavily weighted do to joint issues, these little ones make great substitutes inbetween.

I always put BB eyes in my Berenguers. Changes their look.

I strip them and start from scratch. I also change the eyes.

What size eyes do Berengeur La babies take? I’ve never removed mine as Another artist did it back when I purchased and I’ve since forgotten.

It depends on the size of the doll. I have a stash of eyes so I just measure the ones I take out against those.

Wait, their joint issues or yours?

I fill my heads with poly pellets too…
It makes a huge difference on my needle budget as well😁 I never actually tried to root the Berenguers, but their heads just seemed really hard!

I haven’t gone to get them yet…been busy.

They are hard but they’re do-able. You just can’t do it fast.

I paid 70 something for a doll like a few years ago.

For a Berenguer? Was it reborned?

That’s what they currently cost new.

Wow! I have 4 of them that I’ve gotten at either thrift stores or off Marketplace, and the most I paid for one was $5!

Yes I found one at a thrift store too! I did painted hair on mine. I did not strip the paint first- maybe next time I would.

 That would seem about right.

Adorable. I’ll have to give this a go someday.
