Did anyone get her? I got mine today and she is lovely but the vinyl has a strong smell!

Is it JD vinyl or from another factory?
Says JD and the number on the neck. Produced by Truborns. Has that icky orangish color like Cassie’s kits. Feels different to me too. I hope it paints well cuz I got 2 of them.

Honestly both kits are still sitting in the box they came in. I have not washed them or prepped them for painting. I have 4 more painted kit heads to paint hair on for DOTW and with all the wedding planning things have had to come to a stop here in the nursery. In addition to this, I had a cystoscopy last Friday that I had to recover from and my oldest daughter is having hernia surgery this Friday so I will have grand kids a few days. I have also been dealing with excessive tendonitis down my right arm and wearing a tennis elbow brace for this. I have to somehow get my house cleaned up for Easter as all the family will be here then and then the weekend after that is the wedding. I am so overwhelmed right now! I need prayers!

wow…no wonder you haven’t even thought about starting on them.
You have a boat load of all other stuff to deal with right now…i will pray for you that you heal up quickly and your daughter’s surgery goes well.
Dont worry about house cleaning…10 minutes after everyone gets there…if your kids and grands are like mine…the house is a wreck again anyway!!

Today I tossed my kits into the washing machine with a laundry pod and hot water on gentle cycle. Pulled them out and have them on the rack, drying. Most of the smell is gone but I can still smell a faint glue like scent when I put a head to my nose. I’m just hoping when baked these do not have a loud smell that becomes noticeable on the baby.
