Of this selection of kits, which would you get if you had the money? I’m thinking about getting Rose Rubert. She was the first reborn I ever got and I wonder how differently she would turn out if I painted her.

Why aren’t they discounted? 
If I had to guess, I would say that they were planning to conduct a trial of bringing back a few of some of the artist sculpted kits before deciding if they wanted to bring them back on permanently. Then 145% tariffs happened and they realized that things are much too volatile right now to bring anything that relies on Chinese factories back.
I could be wrong of course, but all of the extra costs associated with having vinyl kits imported from China now is probably discouraging a lot of doll supply companies from bringing in as many as they had originally wanted or planned to.
The reason they aren’t being discounted is because it now costs them almost an additional 1.5 [edited to add- actually 2 and a half!!!] times the amount that each kit used to cost (not retail, cost) just to import them. They can’t afford to absorb that kind of cost and still stay in business. We are extremely lucky that they aren’t passing the entire increase of the kit cost on to us as consumers.

Yes. I did get several of him and painted them before he went out before. I replace the limbs with full realborn limbs so it can get pricey sometimes. I just don’t care for 3/4 limbs any more so $59.95 is more than I would pay for using just the head I think. I am tempted though.
