I just started Crystal..I couldn’t figure out for a while why this doll’s face is so odd, and then I realized it’s because it has no real eyelids…so for anyone that’s painted her, how did you do the eyelashes?

Aww those look wonderful!

I pulled Roux back out and added a few more layers on him, then he sat for probably two weeks as I worked on other babies…oops. I started to root him and add some more details to him tonight! He got some applied lanugo and tested his eyes which I blued the scleras myself! Some of you may remember the transformation this baby went through :smile:

Just out of curiosity, did you heat your head at all while rooting? Heat can permanently set those fabric markers and make them stain. You are supposed to remove them before you apply heat or iron your fabric, don’t ask me how I know. :unamused_face:

Not directly but rooted under the ottlite desk lamp… which might have done it…

I thought the marker disappeared if heated? It is supposed to when marking fabric?

No we are talking about the blue water soluble fabric marker for sewing. You just get it wet and it disappears.
