Ive been trying a new technique for some resin eyes as my last one wasnt working. Im pretty pleased so far and these have just came out of the mold. Roux looks like he could star in a horror movie

Any final suggestions before moving on to final details? I realize i havent blushed his cheeks yet lol so ill do blushing, nail, brow, varnish then give rooting a go  which im extremely nervous about. Im not horrible at prisma hair so i was possibly thinking of doing combi hair. That way if im not the best at rooting it wont be as noticeable? I did a last blue and purple layer tonight and a darker blushing of hands and feet. I always forget the cheekers :woman_facepalming:

Would adding some detail, a birth mark or milk spots to the face help? I mean, he seems perfectly fine as he is. But if you a feeling something is missing? Just a thought :woman_shrugging:

Yes i agree i think ill add a little redish spot on the forehead somewhere. Milk spots i havent tried so i may wait till i can practice on that. And definitely more blushing. I may try the milk blister tho and give milia a try!

I think I’m going to do a blue wash next and see where it gets me. All three kits were painted mostly the same with stronger mottling on Nikolas and he’s going orange on me in some lighting.

So cool. You did a really good job. I still agree with the light green eyes being on top though.

I agree! :joy: I still have to varnish and I’m going to change the eyes when the head is warm. It’s not easy. Haha

Wow! Looking good. It would be cool if the eyes glowed too.

She has veins but after all the layers they’re barely there. I darkened them a little.

This is a repaint of a baby I did not like. Stripped her, neutralized her and her skin tone always tended to some kind of chocolate/gold so I stopped forcing her into my vision and let her be. I only ever painted one darker baby but she was more hispanic I think. I’m trying to be as respectful as possible with this one. I used primary method, lots and lots of layers, she is still far from being done, trying my best with what I have

I need some help, I got Journey for myself from MacP as a keeper baby and the kit looked perfect. Now after maybe 4-5 rounds in the oven she’s got black spots. I’m so baffled, from looking inside the pieces there’s nothing out of the ordinary and none of the pieces were touching anything while baking or cooling that would’ve stained them. I started trying to cover up the one on the face but I barely even want to keep painting her with those spots in case more show up :sob:
(Edited to add an apology for my paint covered hands, I’ve been making Christmas ornaments!)

I think this happens when you heat the head to mucth so that spots that are already there will show up .
I do not bake every time and after each layer only when i am at point that i wanted to keep is so
Are they everywere ?
