I use a strong magnet and it will hold on the head with just the metal clip on the bow. I sometimes add a tiny magnet inside the clip if it doesn’t seem to attach well.
A retouch I’m really happy with I painted this baby for my own collection and her eyebrows really bothered me, stripped them with isopropyl alcohol and tried my best at repainting them on a not so clean basis. I did not risk rubbing the Qtip too much not to ruin her so the stripping was not 100% complete.
After a couple weeks i finally did another 2 layers. Im trying to darken my pigments now after about 12 layers im guessing, because the skin tone doesnt seem to be changing much.
After i do a layer in the creases i add thinner for the depth or mottle and im wondering if i should just do a few bold layers. The flanges dont look much different in retrospect to the skin tone. I have done a few blush layers altho im sure thats seen just fine.
Im also struggling with between the toes without them looking dirty and cleaning them out. Any tips on toe creasing would be appreciated. Id really like to feel like im almost done with the main painting. Ive been working on this guy for nearly two months i think.
Im trying to find a way to work full time and still at least paint a few times a week for an hour atleast. My brain thinks if i paint i cant be doing anything else that day
And working on THREE small silicones… larger sleeping baby is Novalee by Silicone studios, awake baby is Ethan by Jennifer Costello, and tiny sleeping baby is Daisy by Sheila Mrofka. Novalee I’m not set on her skin tone yet really, but the other two are close to done. I have 0 clue how to price babies these sizes. Novalee is about 15 inches, Ethan is 13, and the tiny I think is four or five maybe?
