He definitely needs more life.
I always compare the color to the color of the flanges. If it’s almost the same, than it’s still a long way to go.

@pia I saw this real baby online and thought it was one of your dolls at first! Reminds me so much of your painting style

I always forget about that little trick. Thank you! I did end up doing more red last night. Definitely a long ways to go!

Luca has brows and applied lashes. The brows always seem to lighten up when I seal over them so, this picture is before they have been sealed

Walking away from these brows for now and coming back to them tomorrow lol I think I used up all my luck on the first head

I zoomed into the eyes and they look so natural at the lash line! Do you mind if I use this picture as a reference when I root my next set of open-eyed lashes?

I don’t mind at all (I am flattered), but this one is better in my opinion…

WOW! Now those are very realistic!! Thank you so much, I hope I can keep improving and reach that level of precision.

Got some more done today. I cant figure out why i feel the coloring is too pinky…maybe do to a purpleish layer? I know i need to trust the process as i have many more layers to go, but does anyone think i should stick to a specific color or stay away from a specific color for a few layers? Ive done several variations of reds, blues, purple, yellow…maybe focus more on blues? Im kind of at a loss, as its my second baby and all with heat set painting. All advice is greatly appreciated

Those lashes looks great - very natural!

Oh, I LOVE those. I tried every time, but I can’t ever get that crisscrossed effect.
And the color of the eyes is amazing. I assume they are Eyeco polyglass from DBS? What color are those?

I don’t think he is too pinky, at least what I see on my screen. I know that forum mutes pictures, but those colors on hands and feet are divine and so natural. You are doing great! It’s hard to believe it’s just your 2nd baby!

Gosh thank you! That does make me feel better :purple_heart: the coloring is hopefully pretty accurate, and i do paint and take the wip photos with a natural light lamp. Or so it says lol.
