Let’s show our WIP part 4 (Part 2)

I like the smell, too

Well, at least I’m not alone  I remember my aunt heating up a rice sock for her pain when I was young, and that’s where I got it from I believe.
I told my daughter I want a full body rice sock at the moment, like a body pillow, but filled with rice, that would be WAY to heavy, lol, but maybe a heated body pillow? They probably have those, idk. It’s cloudy here and my joints are feeling it.

Working on this little lady, Sophia Grace. This sculpt is just perfection, details and proportions are superbs, even if I don’t really like the face.
The limbs remind me a lot of Delilah.

My mom always used rice socks for pain…and to take to bed to warm us in winter…to me it is a smell of comfort :joy:

Me too! As long as you don’t burn the rice, it’s very comforting! If you burn the rice it’s a different story :joy:

Oooh I can’t wait for the weather to be warm enough fir this to sound good! It’s been so cold/damp these past couple weeks I’ve been miserable even with hot flashes! I haven’t even been opening the windows! (I’m in upstate NY )

Put some lavender essential oils in it? Or baby powder scented

I hate the smell of lavender, too. I know, I’m weird. And I still worry about rice residue in the doll attracting bugs. The poly pellets work really well for me so I’m sticking to that.

My daughter used to get migraines and the rice sock was the only thing that helped since she was too nauseous to take medicine

I actually bought flax seed and it doesn’t seem to have an odor when heated.

I LOVE her coloring! Can’t wait to see her with rooted hair, but why did you do painted hair on her if you are planning to root?

What about those special inserts that you can put into softies for warmth? Would they work? They only needed to be heated in microwave for 60 sec.

I was in Alabama for about a week and Im finally back! Ive worked on the twins a bit more. Im pretty happy with the eyebrows! They both are going to have hair on the thicker side so I felt some dark eyebrows fit them!

(Peep a little Teegan in the background!)

Oh, you progressed so nicely!

LOVE blond sides! I do that too on more blondish babies. I love your contrast!
Do you also do what J. Kramer advance rooting DVD teach - dense middle part and less dense sides?

I miss seeing your babies in person. You KS 2021 Ava in her adorable sweater and big red bow in her hair still so fresh in my memory.
