Let’s show our WIP part 4 (Part 1)

I’m currently working on Mathilda and Ruby, I had to get standard iris eyes for Ruby but cos they’re so small in the photos they still look dark but are newborn blue. When I finish these two I have 8 month old Brooklyn to reborn.

I didn’t think Mathilda was any more orange than any of the usual kits other than realborn, though my Felicity realborn and I had 2 kits, were dark orange and rock hard.
What flesh are you using? Flesh 08 will lighten it if you’re not using it already. I tend to add colours to my flesh mixes.

Her kit looked really dark beige when I got it, but everytime I bake she turns oranger and oranger even after a blue wash, it’s very odd. I don’t use flesh at all, I use primary method. Or in Mathilda’s case the blue and purple method, which turns orange anyways

I love those soft curls. Can I ask where you bought the hair?

Oh he is beautiful. I have an Ava, I really like him as a boy. I will have to see how mine turns out.

I got it on Ebonyline.com and I just cut the hair in half. I love how the curls are so easily manipulated with the brush too

Thank you. Wow, 12-14" length is a lot of hair, especially if you cut it in half. Is it fine? I like that it’s unprocessed so no worries about bleeding. I’ll be ordering some. I wish they had more colors.

No problem! And I’ve only used the 10” so far lol. I’ll finally be on to the 12” soon but since it will be on the top I’m guessing it’ll just pan out like when one gets a weave, longer goes on top :man_shrugging:Iol. The 10” is definitely though.
I guess would have to get processed hair for colors, yeah?

I would think so and then they could bleed.

Yeah. Maybe one day I’ll try it for like an alternative or something :man_shrugging:
I also want to mention that I have tossed out quite a bit of hair on grounds of strands being thicker than I would like and strands being shorter than I’m looking for once I cut them so that’s a thing.

I usually put a thin purple layer on the vinyl first a couple of times to bring it more pink, then I start with my flesh colours. If anything mine went pale and I had to add more colour.
