I used golden for this baby. I’ve just been using the same wedges that I use for Genesis for my mottling

Working on 2 total opposites right now, ones soaking up paint and the other one is taking it too well. I’m still painting Marnie, unfortunately I just totally messed up her mottling, it’s way way way too dark. I don’t care about it being too dark on her limbs, but her head is out of control. Her mottle was so light you could barely see it, then I baked it and got this result 
I started Mathilda last night, and have worked on her all day today. She has 17 layers and looks like she has 1, maybe 1, this kit is just soaking up paint like crazy and nothing will show up, ugh

Mottling is a bit dark but you can probably get it tone down with more flesh layers and blushing. Some babies are terribly mottled, so it’s still realistic.

My first thought was oh man, I might actually have to do some flesh layers. I don’t ever use flesh, but this is one time I think it’s definitely needed.

You could try a mint mottle or a flesh mottle- then you wouldn’t have to cover the whole thing in flesh…
