I don’t see a way to do a poll on here, so I’ll just ask: Do you prefer that kits have the body/plate/torso included or would you rather have the head and limbs only?
I’m asking because of pricing. I like included bodies, but I don’t really care about plates/torsos. I don’t really see the point of them. Is there a point? I feel like I’m paying extra for extras that I don’t want and it sucks. I would prefer that plates/torsos be optional and save $$$$.
I really want Americus, but if the price is too ugly I will pass. I doubt that the torso will be optional. If it is I will eat my words.
I really don’t care about a body plate but do prefer the kits that include the body. With that said I guess if the plate is included with the kit I would prefer to buy just the sculpt and purchase the body separate.
I really like for a kit to include a cloth body. It’s just something less I have to do. I would like the torso optional though.
As a collector the tummy plate is nice in those first pictures, but I never use them after that. I’d just assume not have them. The full torso kits are hard to pose and not cuddly!
As an artist, the babies I make with a tummy plate make for better pictures, and seem to sell great.
I agree, I like an included body but they should offer belly or torso as an option. I love Americus, but hate putting together a full bodied baby and since they can’t be posed like a baby, don’t appear lifelike.
I like my kits to come with a belly plate and body. I like to have a belly plate for cute poses. I do not like gender specific belly plates. I think naked babies are adorable, but not for everyone to gawk at. But then, I prefer Michaelangelo’s David WITH the fig leaf, LOL.
I’ve noticed that the kits who come with body and plate are the same price as the kits that don’t so I don’t really see it as saving any money. Except for a select few artists they’re all over $100 anyways. I’d much prefer the full package if I’m already spending that much. Then I’m not paying 115 + 20 for the body + 15-20 for the plate. Then it’s even more.
I prefer the limbs and head only, but it is nice when they include the body. I rarely use belly plates because it takes away from the baby being cuddly.
