Is this true about COA's?

Hello! This is the lady that was here yesterday that you helped figure out that my reborn order on etsy may have been a scam. Thank you so much for that!

I’m here again because a doll I have an eye on does NOT come with a COA. The reason for this is, as told to me by the seller: “A reborn artist doesn’t issue them, the sculpting artist does. And if a doll kit is a limited edition that is when you get one. This Mason doll kit is not a limited edition which means that it will never be sold out.”

She says the sends a birth certificate with the doll.

Is what she says about the COA true? Or does this look like another scam?

BB Mason is indeed and open edition baby and does not come with a COA.

True. A lot of kits don’t come with a COA. Almost all limited edition does and some open one too. Realborn does come with a COA if they are not second quality. All BB kits don’t come with COA

True.
Most kits from dealers other than Bountiful baby have COA’s but not all.
Limited editions do.

Realborns do (from Bountiful Baby), other BB kits do not. Either do seconds of the realborns (these are kits sold at a cheaper price due to a “flaw” during kit inspection. Though none I have bought from BB have ever had an actual flaw… mostly just dirty and washed right off.)

You ladies are the absolute best!

I was going to buy Mason with or without the COA b/c he’s the one I like best of all the ones I’ve seen on reborns.com. But I wanted to make sure I wasn’t being scammed.

True- Many kits do not come with COAs.
I would say all of the limited edition ones do, and some that are not limited edition, but not all.

I do too! And when I was scammed, it was the “Mason kit” that I bought.
